Adintus leads sustainable innovation with CDTI project for the paper and board industry

At Adintus we believe that innovation and sustainability are the engine of the industrial future.

For this reason, we are developing a project supported by the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI), aimed at creating environmentally friendly internal sizing agents that add value to the paper and cardboard industry.

What does the project consist of?

This project, entitled “Development of environmentally friendly internal sizing agents for the paper and board industry”, responds to a key need that is increasingly in demand: to replace purely synthetic compounds with more responsible solutions, without sacrificing efficiency and quality.

Main objectives

With this initiative, Adintus seeks to:

  • Innovate with eco-friendly and user-friendly products, reducing environmental impact and toxicological risks.
  • To bring added value to the industry through technologies that improve paper durability and performance.
  • Promote the circular economy, incorporating more sustainable raw materials and more efficient processes.

Technical characteristics

The development is focused on creating a sizing agent derived from natural substances, capable of overcoming the technical drawbacks typically associated with these sizing agent sources. Furthermore, it is proposed in a “ready-to-use emulsion” format , designed to optimize the industrial application.

A step into the future

This project consolidates Adintus as a reference in sustainable innovation in a relevant sector, which is the paper industry, where the environmental impact is strongly related to the production process and the raw materials used.

At Adintus we continue to develop solutions that combine technology, sustainability and added value to transform the industry.
